Sensory Games & Child Development
Sensory games create many neural connections in the brain that increase a child’s ability to learn more complex and challenging subjects.
Children use their senses from birth and throughout childhood to explore and get to know the world around them.
Sensory games in children include any activity that stimulates the child’s senses. The more, the better!
Each person’s sensory system resembles a cup. Some have huge cups (high excitation thresholds with more stimuli) and vice versa.
It doesn’t matter how simple and primitive these games are. What is important is that, besides being purposeful, a game should involve more senses in children to discover more.
Finally, remember that playing sensory games creates a positive sense in children. Introduce or suggest activities to your children that are pleasant to them. Prevent yourself from imposing games on your child if you see no interest from their side.
Until next time, friends.
